Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri
USA, 2017 | Length: 115min | FSK: 12 | Director: Martin McDonagh Cast: Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Peter Dinklage

From the director of "In Bruges" and "Seven Psychopaths" comes a darkly comic drama that tells a stirring story of grief and redemption. After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter's murder case, Mildred Hayes (McDormand; "Fargo", "Burn After Reading") makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at the town's revered chief of police (Harrelson; "No Country for Old Men", "Zombieland"). When his second-in-command (Rockwell), an immature mother's boy with a penchant for violence, gets involved, the battle between Mildred and Ebbing's law enforcement is only exacerbated. McDormand gives an Oscar type of uncompromising performance in a film that is Fargo good: immensely entertaining, engaging, savagely brutal, and stingingly written with social relevancy.
